This bird was sitting out in plain sight enjoying a bit of winter warmth from the sun.I was watching a Mink slink along the river bank when I noticed what I thought was a stone was indeed a Woodcock-the Mink never saw as it passed below. Nikon Z9,Nikkor 600mm pf with 1.4 teleconverter equivalent 840mm.
