Short-eared Owl : Short-eared Owl, 27-05-2021, David Miller , Aberlady Reserve , Lothian
The owl did numerous circuits not far from the bridge at the reserve. We were some way distant so the picture quality is not great.

Snipe drumming (multishot composite): Snipe, gallinago (Common), 20-04-2021, Richard Whitson, Cathkin Marsh SWT, Clyde
The fast and erratic twisting flight, even in their drumming dives, make Snipe a tricky subject to capture. Burst of shots of single individual caught during one of its display dives then composited in Photoshop. Sony A9 + Sony FE 200-600mm G Lens @ 600mm, 1/3200s, f6.3, ISO 640

This is the closest I have ever been to a swallow, this little poser spent 5 mins preening right in front of me, had a good old sing song before flying off. Absolute privilege:-)
