Out of it's environment the Wood Warbler is really quite strongly coloured,Silk white under parts giving way to green and yellow wings and body.Looking up from the ground the white underbody matches the light filtering through the tree canopy and in parallel the green to yellow matches the new leaves where the Warblers hunt for insects.

Very unusually I watched a Swift closely followed by a Swallow both swoop down onto the pond at the marsh and then the Swallow followed the swift as if it was its wingman .... but possibly just chasing the same fly !
