A small calidrid which got the pulses racing, until we realised it was a small pale Dunlin. arctica ssp considered likely although rarely recorded in the NE.

Nikon D850,500mm f4 Lens,Tripod,Calm day Two Adults and three juvenile Tree Sparrows.They never let me anywhere close but result is a distant shot of two in a hedgerow.The image somehow reminds me of a Japanese water colour - lovely light and lovely soft colours.
