Having watched the male catch a frog, I saw him fly a short distance to present it to a female and both, then, entered into what I presume to be a mating display ritual, where the male constantly circled and touched the female who was lying completely flat and prone on the surface of the water. This went on for approximately 10 minutes before both flew off.
