"Escaping": Little Egret, 26-01-2023, Bob Hamilton, Annandale, Dumfries and Galloway
On a visit to the Moffat Community Wildlife Reserve, I spotted a Great White Egret some 250 yards away in a marshy field. The Egret suddenly lunged at something which was hidden from view behind tall grass and a Little Egret took to flight towards me. I was surprised to see these “cousins” together on the Reserve.
